A recent move by the BBC to introduce registration to comment on it's blogs comes after ongoing problems with spam and performance with a more open commenting system where no registration was required. They have integrated it with their message boards and have your say registration. This follows the lead of other established media blogging sites such as the guardian.
Jem Stone, the BBC Social Media group in Future Media and Technologies talks about the changes on the BBC internet blog. They are also staying with Movable Type from Six Apart and have upgraded to MT4.1
